"I want clients to see me as a balance of trustworthy and fun—irreverent and reliable,"

says Beau Cassidy, the Toronto based Producer, Songwriter, Mixer and Engineer. His approach to production is honed by highly technical training and extensive knowledge of classical and advanced music harmony, channelled into writing and sound creation. "I offer taste and fresh sensibilities, both in and out of the box, using creative and experimental approaches to build hooks and sonic palettes that serve the song and invite the listener to engage and be excited about the artist’s music."

As a staff engineer at both Raventape Music and 80A Studios (Universal Music Canada) Beau spends his sessions Mixing in Stereo and Atmos and producing out of his home studio at the Arcade DIY. His sound fuses traditional in-the-box skills with a whimsical, irreverent pop attitude, embodying the genre-fluid future of music production.

Beau’s mission is to be an energetic taste-maker in music production, focused in the electronic and dance genres and spatial audio. He aims to support and create unique sounds and sonic branding for artists, writing songs and building musical palettes from the ground up.

"I want to bridge the old and the new, respecting the history of recording technology while pushing the boundaries of what a producer can be. I encourage artists to take the reins of their sound, and to bring in other voices and skill sets to elevate the mix beyond what an artist could achieve alone."

Beau is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for marginalised communities, such as LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists. "It's important to me that everyone feels welcome and supported in my studio," he emphasises.

Beau Cassidy has been creating music his whole life. Growing up in the East End of Toronto, Beau cut his teeth early by playing live often as a teenager, opening for Carole Pope and Charlotte Day Wilson while still in high school. He holds an Honours BFA in Electroacoustics from Concordia University and returned to Toronto in 2017 to build his career as a producer, audio engineer, and music creative.  Since 2022, Beau also teaches recording part-time at Sheridan College in the Music for Screen and Stage program.

Passionate, energetic, and reliable, Beau Cassidy is committed to making music that breaks the rules and transcends genre, fostering an environment where artists feel empowered to express themselves freely.
